And here’s her piece of mind….

Dillie’s Birdday!

Posted by: hephz on: February 7, 2009

We went to Jurong Birdpark for Dillie’s birthday. I told him that he should be visiting his in-laws on the special day (he calls me Jiao Jiao, citing that I behave like a baby bird waiting to be fed all the time).

Anyhow, I had invited the 2 smaller koklets and Benson for his birthday dinner!! It was meant to be a nice little surprise for him but too bad, he had found out quite sometime back, when I ask him to pass me my phone and Benson’s SMS were on the screen. TMD…

To sum it all up, good times fly by in a jiffy!!

He looks surprised

Sort of ended our exploration of the Birdpark here. We proceed to make our way to Jurong Hilltop Restaurant, where they serve nice and not very expensive Teppanyaki~ The rest were there and waiting for our arrival.

Was a tad disappointed to see that he’s not very surprise. Actually, I sort of know that he knew about this dinner since he did not ask me who I was SMS-ing with the whole day. I just hope that I was wrong but it turns out that he had already guessed. TMD.. Surprise dinner failed.

It was surprising to see that the restaurant was pretty crowded. I thought of not making any reservations and just walk-in like that. Heng ah, I did make a reservation afterall. Anywayz, Dillie got a green iPod shuffle from Benben and a purple & black striped Topman shirt from the koklets. As for me, I haven’t got him anything… yet. I don’t know what the hell to get him sia. It gets very difficult to get presents for the same fella after a while. Think it’s time to change a boyfriend or something… =P

Anyhowz, I had gotten him a watch, a wallet, shirts, jerseys, slippers, piggy banks, earphones for his work, mobile phone for 08 Christmas. Sigh, I should go rack my brains some more.

We placed our orders and proceeded to the Teppanyaki area. They tied this bright orange bib thingy around our neck. We all thought that it was funny. For some reasons, Dex felt like having some Yu-Sheng and we had yet another round of Lo Hei in the restaurant. So odd!

Fire!!

Green iPod Shuffle from Benben

Topman shirt from the smaller koklets

Dinner was good, I especially love the King Prawn thingy. Damn it!! The service there isn’t all that fantastic. We told the stupid China woman that we are sharing all the food and she kept telling us this 1 not enough for all of you, must order 2 sets, that 1 not enough, must order 2 sets. Dillie was a tad piss with her.

Also, I had called earlier to check if they give out complimentary parking coupons to patrons of the restaurant as we do not have enough credits left in the Cashcards, the same Ah Tiong woman told me ‘yes, yes, the parking is free’. Naturally, I thought she meant that we will be given the parking coupons. At the end of the dinner, I ask her for the coupons, she gave a weird face and said the parking is FREE after a certain time. I was like, wth? Then don’t say yes when I ask you if you give complimentary coupons or not la. Fucker…

On to the happier thingies, we were discussing where to go after the dinner, there were suggestions like bowling, movie, play pool, KTV but we decided on a Shisha session in Arab Street.

Walked around the streets for a while, looking for a good Shisha place. Went to the Ambrosia Cafe (something like that) above a Teh Tarik place. Ok place la, we all have to take off our shoes and sit on the floor. Ordered a strawberry flavoured Shisha and some tea abd started to waste our time there.

It’s a pretty cosy place, though I think all those cushions and carpets are a tad dirty. Just think, how many sweaty, smelly people had sat on the carpets and cushions and do they wash their cushions covers at all? Anyhowz, tried not to think too much and just concentrate on having a little fun.

Belly Dancer!! I guess she should be in her 40s, but boy, she can dance

Looking at her dance really makes me feel like taking up Belly Dancing…

Had lots of fun talking cock and teasing each other. I realised that Benson is really a good friend to have around. He went around trying to look for a cake and candles so that we may sing Dillie a birthday song and whatnots. Really appreciate his efforts.

Anyhowz, Happy Birthday Kokie!! Hope you had enjoyed this one!! As for your present, you gonna have to give me a little while longer… Haha!!

Lovie!!

Last piece of mind for this

Posted by: hephz on: February 5, 2009

It’s never worth giving advices to people who are deaf or stupid. It’s totally pointless, it actually makes more sense talking to a toilet bowl. At least it doesn’t make you angry.

I had made the issue a point to you since 487648575894168 years ago. Why is it now when I remind you of the fact again, I am being called SELFISH.

Ha! Irony. Fine. You shall be left alone to do things the way you like to, be it right or wrong. Your skull is too thick.

Perhaps all these are just my opinions. Perhaps you really could do better than me. Perhaps all these advices are uncalled for.

Whatever it is, we leave each other alone. I can’t bear talking to you anymore. It simply stirs up the fucking angst in me. I have been branded SELFISH too many a times. And I am SICK of it.

I simply can’t be bothered anymore. You have all the fun and luck.

Goodbye, perhaps for now, maybe forever, we’ll see. =)

Jennifer was asking the bunch of us if anyone is good with the excel =if formula and I happily told her I can do some simple ones.

I found out later that she wanted a pretty complicated formula which I thought was impossible at first. It got me very curious and I started googling for a similar situation. I found 1 after spending ard 30 mins lurking in the internet. Spent another 15 mins editing & testing the formula.

I think I shouted Huat Ah when I got it right… Haha!!

The formula looks something like this:

=IF(AND(J3=0),”0″,(IF((OR((SUM(J1,J3)*J$5>650))),”650″,SUM(J1,J3)*J$5)))

Wah Piang, the 满足感 is 1000000 x 1000000 la!!!

Slightly Sentimental CNY Post!!!

Posted by: hephz on: January 24, 2009

Woot!! Been waiting so damn long for this day!! Maybe Angie is being too cina but she prefers Chinese New Year to the new year’s New Year!!

HUAT AH~!~!~!

Been through heaps and heaps of shits for the past few years. Almost every kind of shit I suppose.

Here are some pathetic snippets of my ex-pathetic life:

I remember when I first came back from Malaysia, I totally couldn’t speak english and when I went to this mobile phone shop somewhere in Jurong to buy a phone and sign up for a mobile line, instead of asking me for my IC, he asked for my passport and work permit. TMD~! I recall staring at that fella and passing my SGP PINK IC!!!! He appologised to me profusely, with a sick look on his fat face.

Had my fair share of bad and abusive boyfriends, but am glad I have got Dillie, a doting, crappy and amusing boyfriend!!

Been damn fucking broke, so broke that I had to walk to work. All the way from Race Course Road to Crown Prince Hotel, where I worked as a waitress in the old piano lounge. I alway reach there panting and perspiring like a cow. My boss eventually found out and gave me an advance of a month’s salary. Haha!!

Being chased out of the house by my father because I went to celebrate my birthday and having to sleep over at my friend’s place and when that friend was being hospitalised for some accident, I had to sleep in the playground at the old World Trade Centre. Was awakened by a fat policeman the next afternoon and asked me why I was sleeping there. I remember telling him I fell asleep while waiting for a friend. He told me I should be more careful and left. Fearing that he may come back for me the next day, I had to change a playground to sleep in.

I went on sleeping in different playground for a few nights before going back to the fastfood restaurant that I worked in to ask for help. My then favourite manager told me I could stay in the restaurant for the time being, and I did. It was quite an experience sia!! I was told not to make big movements to avoid the attention of the security guard and that I can go ahead and make myself some food if I wanna. Woot!! Well, I showered, eat, shiat and work in the restaurant for the next few weeks. My manager then made arrangements for me to go stay with a colleague’s house. The mother was super nice to me la!! I finally couldn’t take it anymore and decided to leave for Malaysia to look for mummy.

Wanted a new life in Malaysia but wasn’t able to rid myself of the Ah Lian pattern. Wahahaha!! Mum tried putting me back in school but it ended up disastrous-ly. First day of school and I have got girls approaching me, telling me that they are the da-jie of the school, that I have to respect them. I laughed and ignored them, so they ask me to watch my back. Like, wtf? Anyhowz, my classmates were absolutely proud that they have got a SGPrean in their class and I became quite famous in school. Everybody wanted to sit beside me during English class. My english was even better than the teacher. Woohoo~

I was pretty screwed back there, was more punctual for parties and for school. Tried all kinds of dope shit. Couldn’t work so I had to sponge off my mum. Anyway, I didn’t wanna work too.. Haha!!

There are some much more incredible moments in my life but I had to go sun my clothes now. =P

Looking back, I had really came a long long long long way. Not exactly very well off now but at least I have got a dip, got a great job, wonderful relationships with my family and a loving boyfriend. =)

I had a wonderful 2008 and I wish that 2009 would be even better!! It should start with all the mahjong sessions during CNY!! Must ‘hu’ many many!!

Gong Xi Fa Cai everybody!! =D

Home Visit?

Posted by: hephz on: January 18, 2009

For some reasons, both the Woodlands & Tuas Causeway were packed with vehicles going into Malaysia on th night of 26th Dec. We didn’t wanna join in the jam and decided to go when there are less congestion. Can’t remember what time we started our journey but it certainly was late.

The Malaysian government had built a new custom building and we were a tad lost after exiting the building. Somehow, we were still able to get our ass on Jalan Wong Ah Fook, where we can change some Ringgits for the journey.

I was awake for the whole journey this time too too!! So proud of myself sia~ Wahahaha!!

As usual, we had to call mummy to meet us at the Ayer Keroh Tol when we reach since I do not know the way to Ah Pa’s place. I think we reached around 3 or 4 am. We talked a little and headed straight to bed after that.

All the days spent there seems to have merged into 24 hrs. I can’t recall what I did on the few days that I was there. Hmmm, I think we went for breakfast in Malim on the 1st or 2nd day.

Anywayz, that’s not important. I do remember we went for this supposedly very famous mutton soup around on the first night there, I have to say that daddy’s mutton soup is more powerful. Should have opt for the mojo-ful beef pot instead… Argh!!

At the mutton soup place
I wanted to do a bit of shopping around while mummy had to go to work. So we parted ways after dinner. So we went to Palawan and had a little walk. The parking culture in Melaka is damn different la, we ended up spending a lot of time waiting for parking lots… Grrr!!

Bought this seedless dried prunes at Palawan which is freaking YUMMY la!! Must buy many many more when I go back there again!!And the MNG there were having this crazy crazy sales and I ended spending over a hundred Ringgits there. Things were like damn damn damn damn cheap!! I literally went mad sia!! And Dillie was telling me this one nice, that one nice!! Buy Buy!! Heh!! So I just buy and buy, all without trying!! Woohoo~!

Went over to mum’s workplace to have a little drink and perhaps sing some songs too.

Dinner + Room for chirtmas night for RM 199

ALB’s future husband?
Apparently, mummy’s lady boss seems to like ALB very much and had been trying to matchmake her with her son, the younger man in the pic above. So I kept disturbing her, saying that I will go back and put in a few good words for the son and stuff like that. She was like so happy and opened 2 bottles of Tiger for us. Sibei funny la!!

We ended our night here and went back home to sleep. Mummy has taken leave from work the next day!! Weee!! Dillie mentioned that he wanna go walk walk around Melaka town as I had never brought him to do any touristy thing in Melaka before, and mum said she will go with us tomorrow~

Woke up very early with the sun shining brightly in the sky. We were ready to tour around the place. First stop: 3 treasures temple & the well of Hang Li Poh.

I told Dillie that this statue is that of Cheng Ho and he asked me how I know. The cape and the hat are tell-tale signs ain’t it?

Mummy is so short!!

We headed to the Clock Tower area:

Ever since I tried doing the jumping thingy in Bintan, I am trying to do it at every chance possible!! =P

The hole where mum & her siblings will hide in while waiting for buses at the bus-stop around here

The old bus station was transform into a supposedly tourist area. Sad to say tourism in Melaka isn’t all that developed yet.

They dug up the old remains of some forts

Candid shotz

Wahaha!!

Old school lock

We wanted to go on the ferris wheel and the tower thingy but the Q was MAD!! Next time then~

Headed to my Uncle’s place after that. As usual, the 2 girls were so happy to see me, especially Wenci. Wenci was asking me to get some soft toy and whatnots for her when Vicmund came and started screaming at me to buy him some books. I freaking hate that boy can? Fucking irritating. In fact, nobody in the family like this little rascal. Maybe except for his parents.

The kids are so acting like me!!! Wahaha!!

This would be the lastestestestestest time I will ever set foot at my uncle’s place. A few years back, he told me that he’s gonne build a temple and had asked me to donate some money to fund the project. Although skeptical, I gave him RM100 or RM200. And yet, he gave me the same lame excuse now and asked for more money. He got the cheek to ask Dillie to donate too. Not wanting to make things difficult for mummy, I gave him RM50 and told him it’s for me and Dillie. And while mummy and his wife weren’t around, he got Wenci to ask me to the kitchen and tried to get me to lend him some money, cooking up some lame stories about having to spend on the kid’s school books and uniforms. I knew better lo, mum had told me that he has been punting on soccer and stealing & squandering all his wife’s money on paying his debts. I will not lend him a single cent. I am so never going to his place ever again.

Met up with Shirley and learnt that she had moved out on her own. She kept complaining about her work and her co-workers. I got pretty tired listening to it all after a while. Mei was sick and couldn’t meet up with us.

Mummy cooked Asam Pedas for us this time. Though a but blend, it’s still yummilicious la!! She gave me the recipe too too!!One of these days, I am so gonna try cooking it!!

We left without eating the beef pot this time round. We also made plans to visit A’Farmosa the next time we go back there. I hope this time round, ALB will be with us!!

Windows & Doors…

Posted by: hephz on: January 17, 2009

Ohhh~ It’s a busy busy day for me today, woke up at ard 1pm, which is EARLY since it’s a Saturday, to do my laundry and had to wake Dillie up to go lunch and do spring cleaning with me!!

I had to say that the sun was very bright, an absolute good day for doing nasty stuff like laundry and spring cleaning.

Anyhowz, by the time we really started doing anything, it was already 4pm. So within a limited time, we had to clean the windows, clear a space for me to stack my shoe boxes nicely, clear the tables which includes the computer table, long table, the TV rack and the table at the bottom of the TV rack and vaccuum the stupid floor, clean all the doors & windows in the house and the window thingy at the top of the room door, the all showing mirror, the top of the washing machine and the top of the oven on top of the washing machine.

TMDz… Luckily ALB woke up just in time and helped us with some of the stuff.

Digress: The new handy-duster from Magiclean is a REAL life saviour ok!! Other than it being in a cute shade of pink, it is really really very useful la~ Especially good for cleaning those nooks & corners of the house and those uneven surfaces, I am so going to use it again and again and again!!! I love it!! Did I mentioned that it’s not very expensive too? Wooooooo~~

Dumped loads of 2447237683 year old stuffs outta the house. Our living area is so much bigger and spacious now!! But it was a lot of hard work and heart pain…

We had to rush rush a bit since we had planned to make a trip to town for dinner & to Taka to get me a CNY attire.

Went to Lucky Plaza for some nice grilled chicken & fish dinner. Digress: ALB was ranting about how she choke on a fish bone and how swallowing rice-balls and drinking vinegar didn’t rectify the problem and how the stupid doctor at the clinic wasn’t able to remove it for her either and how they had the cheek to charge her $5 or $10. Apparently, she had choke on a fish bone while having her supper last night. Daddy snided that it serves her right for being a glutton. Wahahaha!! In the very end, she remove the bone herself, by using one of daddy’s working tools. Pro!!

Walked around Taka a bit and got myself a splendid brown dress while ALB for herself a CNY towel, full of Pickey Mouse’s head with different expressions. Yes, Pickey Mouse, that’s what her good friend, Jap, calls that silly mouse.

Well, I had FINALLY finish using up all of my Taka vouchers and gotten myself a pretty pretty dress. I am still short of a bag and had set my eyes on this pink Coach bag but the 2 of them insisted that it’s not nice and for the price, I should get a Gucci or LV by topping a few more hundreds. I got kinda irritated and decided not to buy any bag. Anyway not very rich also. =(

NNB, I sibei like the dress can!!! Argh!!!

Went over to Dillie’s place to collect the pot that we are gonna use for steam boat on CNY eve~ Am pretty excited about the steamboat thingy since we never had steamboat at home before~ Woot!! Then headed over to Bukit Timah at 12am to buy bah kwa. Sibei free la!! If any of you needs urgent bah kwa at an unearthly hour, please visit Bee Cheng Hiang Bukit Timah branch ok? Open 24/7.

Conclusion for the day, Angie should clean up her place more often and not rely on the once a year spring cleaning to do all the dirty jobs. It gives her backache.

Nb, camera no battery liao, cannot post photos that Dillie & me took as a tourists in Melaka…

2nd Kelong Trip

Posted by: hephz on: December 22, 2008

Finally, we are going on a trip to the Kelong again. Boy, I miss that place, miss the sea breeze, miss sun-tanning on the kelong planks and miss being fed 5 times a day.

We booked ourselves on a 3 days 2 nights stay on the kelong, starting on the 19th which is a Friday. This time round, we have with us, the 2 little Koklets and Benson. Bet it’s gonna be more fun than the other time!!

We took a cab down to Tanah Merah Habour early in the morning and the 2 koklets joined us shortly after.

I love my trusty $2 sunshade!!

Breakfast @ Killiney Kopitiam

The coffee was horrible.

Benson was the last to reach, he was still sleeping when Dillie called him. Tsk Tsk…

It will be the start of the long and rocky boat ride soon. We were intitially quite worried that the 2 smaller Koklets will puke on the boat as they mentioned that they tend to get seasick. Heng, nobody pukes on the ride there, we all just try to sleep the whole journey through.

It’s gonna be another 1.5 to 2 hrs before we reach the port of Tanjung Pinang.

Camwhoring with Darryl & Dillie

Welcome to Tanjung Pinang

Btw, the bloody customs people confiscated 6 bottles of my Whoregaarden that we bought at the duty free!!! Now I’m only left with 3 bloody bottles… KNN!!! I pray that they will all lao green sai for 564927 days without stop!!

Anywayz, I realised that the port isn’t as dirty as the previous time. Also, the air there seems to be fresher too.

Even the boats look better this time

Pok Pok Van

This was the very same van that picked us up the last time I was here. Super duper old van ok!! It has got holes on the floor and you can see the road through it!!

That’s me with the Koklets

Fancy Pizzas for you?

Another long ride to the Kelong, and the driver made a lot of stops through out. Seems like he’s running an errand for the kelong or something. As for us, we were singing and laughing, basically just making hell a lot of noises throughout the ride.

We finally caught a glimpse of the beach and then the Kelong after torturing our butt for another 2 hrs or so. Woot!!

Ah Dogs, welcoming us to the Kelong

There’s now a concrete drop-off point where we got off. I was very very glad that the ‘run-way’ is still made of good old planks and not concrete, it will very much lose that rustic feeling otherwise.

Before the long walk

The boys, camwhoring on the planks

The boss, Mr Lim, gave us the keys to our room and served us lunch shortly after. The boys were discussing how all the female workers there look like maid and how they had failed their BMTs (Basic Maid-ing Trainings) and cannot become socially accepted maids and hence, came to the Kelong instead. They ish sibei amusing la.

At the dining table

I was still nursing a tummyache and totally had no appetite for food.

We started wondering around the place after lunch. It was very cloudy and was raining intermittently. The waves were very big and I know it could only mean no banana-boat rides for us… =(

Welcome to Kelong Kawal

The whole place is very different now. I was damn bloody disappointed to learn that my favourite sun-tan spot has been replaced by concrete.

We tried asking the boss if we can swim or go for boat rides but as expected, he told us that the waves are too big for such activities now. So we went fishing instead. They gave us some prawns and sotongs and 2 ‘fishing-cans’ and we went to ‘the bridge’ and tried our luck at fishing. We caught nothing and had to stop as it has started raining again.

Back at the living area, we started asking for the air-rifle and went shooting.

Benben, getting ready

Waiting for our turns, I look so sickly…

Dexter’s turn
The boys started posing in all sorts of patterns with the rifle after that. Lamers sia…

Samsung Boy

Darryl very funny la!!

Dillie damn tak glam la…

That’s Dillie, flexing some non-existent muscles… =x

Random Seaview

These pics were taken outside our rooms. The wind was very strong and he came up with the idea of taking all these nonsensical pics. He’s trying very hard to look as saucy as he could!! Damn lame sia… Lol!!

We had dinner and again, I didn’t ate much. Since they wasn’t anything much to do after dinner and since we had bought so much liqour at the Duty-Free, it seems only natural that we proceed for a little drink at the KTV room that Zoan (Dillie’s co-worker) is so fond of sleeping in.

Since we were the only visitors there for the night, we had the whole KTV room to ourselves. There was a lot of singing and drinking and cursing in the room. The karaoke discs there were all pirated disc, needless to say, we had major problems trying to get it to play most of the time. In the end, we decided to do the random singing thing. Pop any disc into the player and if it plays, we take turn at singing the songs, regardless whether we know it or not.

As usual, we were fed satays for the night.

Darryl seems to get pretty high on all the alcohol and started to act a little funny. We were all a tad bored with singing the whole night and somebody suggested playing mahjong, and since I know almost nothing about mahjong and still feeling weak from my regular visits to the toilet, I turned in for the night, leaving the boys outside to continue their game.

The sound of waves splashing outside the room was a very good lullaby. I vaguely remember dreaming about floating around in the sea before really falling asleep…

It was all bright and sunny on our second day. Dillie was busy narrating what Darryl did when he was drunk last night. I laughed till my sides ache sia. For once, I thought he’s going to repeat the stunt of putting mahjong tiles into his mouth again. Well, he didn’t. Instead, he just made a hell lot of noise and telling the rest that he’s not drunk but it’s his strategy to make them think that he’s drunk so that he can win the game easily. Duh…

After a simple breakfast of toast and eggs, we started camwhoring outside our room.

The sun was bright and shiny and so we went sun-tanning and disturbing the poor monkey nearby. Very fierce monkey lo.. Soon after, we started seeing people streaming in. A lot of ah peks and aunties with their attention-seeking kids… Sianz…

Uncle Lim finally agreed to bring us out to the sea after lunch, but not on the speed boat. We are all going on a motorized Sampan~~ He also fed me some carbon pills and my lao sai IMMEDIATELY vanish ok!! As in the urge to go toilet and the nagging pain, it all went away almost immediately after swallowing the pill. I ish happy until~~~

I went for massage while the boys played mahjong again.

Then we loiter around the area for a while and finally, the boat ish ready to bring us out~~

And brave Dex decided that he wants to bring his cammy along… It was in a pretty bad shape after the ride… =(

Kudos to our friendly boat people

Dex was the only one who had brought the camera with him and it ended wet and salty…

Anyhowz, we sailed to this little no man’s land some distance from us and walk around it for a while before sailing back. The waves were pretty scary sia but the whole trip was FUN!!

All of us were drenched in salt water when we reach the kelong. It was also time for dinner but taking a shower seems to be more important right now.

As expected, those people who joined us today were making a hell lot of noise, irritating me a lot. We were plotting how we are going to throw stupid kids into the sea and all that nonesense throughout dinner. Sadly, the KTV was occupied and we had to find other means of entertainment.

I ended up playing mahjong with the boys and boy, I finally understand why people are so into mj, it’s damn bloody fun can!!

Darryl was emo-ing in a corner with his ipod and drinking Bacardi while the rest of us continue banging the table tiles and talking nonesense. By the time we finish 1 or 2 rounds, Darryl was behaving erratically, complete with a very suspicious smile on the face… He’s getting drunk again… It was then I understood why they were all laughing so hard last night. Darryl was a complete joker that night sial!!

Anywayz, we went to bed and woke up to more eggs and toasts for breakfast again. It’s gonna be our last day here and we took this chance to go around and camwhore LIKE MAD a little… =)

Finally, it was time to leave the little ba-long-long haven…

The kelong has become too concrete-fied, thus losing the rustic feeling that it ought to possess. This might as well be our very last trip there.

Anyhowz, I truly enjoy my hols, it was really refreshing and my soul level went up by at least 99999999 times!

Tummyache

Posted by: hephz on: December 18, 2008

Walau eh, I have been lao sai-ing for the past dunno how many days… It’s upsetting me pretty much.. Adding insult to injury, the sai is bright green in colour lo… And lagi worse, I am leaving for Bintan tml..

I just dunno what the fuck is worng sia… Been eating tons of those little blue pills (not viagra ah) that doctor gives everytime you have a tummy upset, and it is not helping. Argh!!! Can’t I enjoy my hols in peace?

I can’t even get to join the ‘amazing race’ that the company has organised on Wed… =( I ended up behaving like a total outcast, sitting in one corner and nursing an upset tummy… =((((((

I am so gonna see a doctor if this continues even after the Bintan trip. Grrrrrrrrrr!!
